| The Anusara Yoga Immersion program
Designed to empower the yoga practice of teachers and enthusiastic student who wishes to deepen their knowledge .
In each one of the 3 parts of the immersion, we will explore the philosophy and principles of Anusara Yoga with focused study and playful practice.
This training is designed to meet the prerequisites of Anusara Yoga certification as well as training for the enthusiastic student who wishes to deepen their practice of Anusara Yoga in a playful and expansive way.It is an opportunity for engaging in the conversation of yoga in great company.
Completion of all three parts of the immersion program is a prerequisite for entering any Anusara Yoga Teacher Training, or to apply to become an Anusara-inspired yoga teacher.
Part 1: Listening to the Secrets of Yoga
The first step of deepening your engagement in yoga is simply to bring yourself with an open heart. In this part we will begin that wondrous descent into the heart learning the foundations of Anusara Yoga,the Universal Principles of Alignment, and put them into a deepening practice. We will look at the underlying assumptions of the life-affirming Tantric vision that is the foundation of Anusara Yoga, while also learning about the other main currents of yoga philosophy.
Part 2 - Awaken the Heart of Transformation.
In Part 2, we'll read a seminal yoga text, Patanjali's Yoga Sutra, which offers some of the earliest insights into a practice of yoga. We will explore interpretations of the Yoga Sutras from the perspectives of Classical Yoga and the Tantra, with an eye toward making the text applicable to our yoga and our everyday lives. In our practice of yoga on the mat, we will continue to unpack the Universal Principles of Alignment as we move into more advanced asana. As you make them your own, these principles will serve you and expand the possibilities to more.
Part 3 -Speaking Your Truth.
In Part 3, we dive into the Bhagavad Gita, a treasure-house of yogic wisdom that is the song of the yogic heart. It takes yoga along the paths of action, understanding, and devotion toward a practice of deep integration of ourselves. As we play deeper in our yoga on the mat, the practice becomes one of celebration of your own truest self.foundation of Anusara Yoga, while also learning about the other main currents of yoga philosophy.
